OUR SERVICES & RATES

Magnum Proofreading offers its customers three options to ensure that you get the proofreading service you need without paying more than you should.

After your document has been proofread, you will receive two Microsoft Word documents. One document will have Word’s Track Changes feature enabled so that you can review all the changes made throughout the proofreading process. The other file will contain a clean document, allowing you to see what the finished product looks like.

ECONOMIC PROOFREADING SERVICE: $10.00/1000 WORDS

Who is this service for?

The Economic Proofreading Service is the best choice for you if you speak English fluently. Ideally, you have already had your document edited (self-editing counts). You’re happy with what you have, but you want to be 100% sure that there are no lingering spelling or grammatical errors in your work before you submit it.

Requirements

For your document to qualify for this service:

· It should be written by a native English speaker or an author who can write in English at the C2 CEFR level.

· Very few, if any, errors in the document should require full sentences to be reworded or restructured.

What’s included?

When you order the Economic Proofreading Service, your proofreader will revise all egregious errors in your work. Advanced language issues that will not affectthe grammatical correctness of your document (e.g., ambiguity, repetition, weak adjectives, wordiness, vagueness) will not be addressed.

Specific errors that will be fixed by your proofreader include:

· Spelling mistakes

· Egregious grammatical errors (e.g., incorrect subject-verb agreement)

· Incorrect choice of words

· Incorrect punctuation

· Any other glaring errors that might harm the chances of your work being accepted.

Specific errors that will be flagged by your proofreader for you to resolve include:

· Errors that require heavy editing to resolve

· Sentences with incomprehensible meanings

STANDARD PROOFREADING SERVICE: $16.00/1000 WORDS

Who is this service for?

This is our most popular service. This service is designed for authors who do not speak English as their first language and are submitting their document to a journal with strict language requirements. Even if your document contains many errors, your writing will be perfectly grammatical and logical when it is returned to you.

This service is also the best choice for native English speakers who have done only some light editing to their work so far.

For most authors, this service will ensure that their article will not be rejected by a journal due to poor English.

Basic requirements

For your document to qualify for this service:

· It should be written by an author who can write English at the B2 CEFR level or higher.

· It should not contain many sentences whose intended meanings cannot be determined.

What’s included?

When you order the Standard Proofreading Service, your proofreader will resolve all language-related mistakes in your document. However, sentences or paragraphs whose intended meaning/purpose cannot be determined will be flagged for you to fix.

Specific errors that will be fixed by your proofreader include:

· Spelling mistakes

· Egregious grammatical errors (e.g., incorrect subject-verb agreement)

· Incorrect choice of words

· Incorrect punctuation

· Wordiness, vague phrases, generic adjectives, and other advanced language issues

· Weak, missing, or unnecessary transitional phrases.

· Sentences or paragraphs that are too long

· Inconsistencies (e.g., if a term is sometimes abbreviated and sometimes spelled out)

· Any other glaring errors that might harm the chances of your work being accepted, including those that require heavy editing to resolve.

Specific errors that will be flagged by your proofreader for you to resolve include:

· Sentences with incomprehensible meanings

Also, you will be provided with a proofreading certificate upon request at no extra charge.
